In a recent interview on Mexican television, América striker Nicolás Castillo declared that his new side are a step up from Pumas, where he was for 18 months from 2017 to 2018 prior to being sold to Benfica.
“América is a very important team all over the world and in comparison to Pumas, I think the club is a little bigger.
“The people and the press always talk about the club. It is a beautiful bit of pressure that they are always talking about you and your club.”
He also went on to share that although his first days with the club were not the best, his fellow players and coaches gave him the confidence to excel.
Castillo has looked generally more comfortable in each match and scored his first two goals for the club over the weekend.
América face Monarcas on Friday night.
