Former Feyenoord goalkeeper Nick Marsman has returned to the club as he prepares to keep his fitness up ahead of the new MLS season, Voetbalzone reports.

Marsman, 32, has joined Arne Slot and his side in order to keep his physical condition to a high standard before reporting back to his side, Inter Miami, ahead of their preseason before the MLS kicks off next year.

The former Twente goalkeeper enjoyed a two-year spell at De Kuip before making the long journey over to Florida to join David Beckham’s MLS franchise. Since joining the club, the former Netherlands U21 goalkeeper has picked up 29 appearances in the MLS conceding 45 goals and picking up seven clean sheets along the way.

Marsman does not have to worry about Inter’s MLS season until February but the former Utrecht player is keen to report to Phil Neville’s side in strong physical condition.

Feyenoord return to league action as Eredivisie leaders in January away to Utrecht before having endured a mid-season break due to the FIFA World Cup. They have four friendlies against Oostende, Rennes, Go Ahead Eagles and FC Emmen later this month.
