Nice target move for Brest midfielder Mahdi Camara | OneFootball

According to a report from L’Équipe, OGC Nice are looking to strengthen their midfield this summer with the signing of Mahdi Camara (27) from Stade Brestois.

Nice’s midfield were notably exposed during their 2-0 defeat at home to SL Benfica in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League qualifier, and the club have reportedly been looking to act fast in the market.

Les Aiglons have set their sights on Camara and have been attempting to get this deal over the line, with Brest reportedly wanting around €8m. The midfielder has been heavily linked with an exit from Brest this summer, and early in the summer was approached by clubs from the United States and Russia.

Camara has been a key part of this Brest squad since he joined in the summer of 2022 from boyhood club AS Saint-Étienne. Last season, he was able to experience the UEFA Champions League for the first time with Les Pirates, helping the club to reach the playoff rounds, where they were eliminated by eventual champions Paris Saint-Germain.
