As reported by L’Équipe OGC Nice will have to wait for PSG to reach an agreement with Mauricio Pochettino before making Christophe Galtier’s departure to the capital official – so that the club can announce the appointment of Lucian Favre for his second spell at the club. Negotiations are reportedly still taking place between Pochettino and Paris-Saint Germain, with no progress being made in the last few hours.

Nice’s players are set to come back for pre-season preparations on Monday, but club will have to wait until Lucien Favre can start to work with his new side in an official capacity. Paris Saint-Germain are not in a rush – as the club starts pre-season preparations on 4th July.

However Nice have already encountered this situation last year, when pre-season preparations had to be made without the incoming Christophe Galtier from Lille. This time, a similar set of circumstances will delay OGC’s preparation, which will all but depend upon PSG’s progress with Pochettino. When Nice can move on is yet not so clear, but they will hope that their pre-season will only be affected in terms of days rather than weeks.
