Nice, Dortmund and Leicester keen on Sofiane Diop of Monaco
Get French Football News
As reported by, young attacking attacking midfielder Sofiane Diop is considering leaving Monaco this summer after his game time dried up in the run-in under Philippe Clement.
Diop was arguably Monaco’s standout player for much of the season, especially before Niko Kovač was sacked mid-season, but only started one of Monaco’s last ten Ligue 1 games, nine of which they won, having been sacrificed in Clement’s search for balance.
Last summer, Diop, now 21, saw his contract extended until 2026 but he could be ready to leave ASM this off-season. Dortmund and Leicester City are monitoring the situation, say the sports daily, while Nice could return for the player having been interested in 2020 too.
