There is no chance of Neymar making his way back to Barcelona, according to the Brazilian star’s father and agent.
Countless reports have linked Neymar with a return to the Catalan giants, but his dad insists there is no chance of that happening.
Neymar Santos Senior was asked by ESPN Brazil about the possibility of him travelling to Spain to negotiate the deal.
“This is not the case. I’m in Brazil and stay here,” Neymar Senior said.
The 27-year-old attacker has not enjoyed the happiest of times since leaving Barca for Paris Saint-Germain, and openly expressed his desire to engineer a move away from the French capital last summer.
Injuries have curtailed him in recent months. He missed the Copa America in the summer, and has made just five appearances for PSG this season.
However, it seems that he still coveted by some of the world’s biggest clubs.
Spanish outlet Marca reports that PSG have placed a €290m price tag on the player, and are ready to talk to any club that are willing and able to match that valuation.
That would represent a tidy profit for the defending Ligue 1 champions given that they shelled out a world record €222m in 2017.
