Neymar’s camp issue statement on Barcelona return links | OneFootball

The camp of former Barcelona star Neymar Jr. have on Monday unveiled a statement, in response to the ongoing speculation linking their client with a return to the Camp Nou.

The name of wide-man Neymar has taken its place back front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the last 48 hours.

This comes amid a fresh round of rumours that the Brazilian is eager to take his talents back to Barca for the season ahead.

The Blaugrana are known to be on the lookout for reinforcements on the left flank, with their failure to land first-choice target Nico Williams having forced Deco and co. to broaden their search.

With that of Neymar one name which continues to crop up in the media, the Al-Hilal star’s entourage, in turn, have on Monday felt it necessary to clarify the situation.

In a damning statement, accusing the Spanish press of fabricating ‘lies’, Neymar’s team released a statement as follows:

‘The articles on Ney’s return to Barça from Al Hilal are LIES and tremendous disrespect for Al Hilal and the athlete. Neymar is under contract with Al Hilal and he’s happy in Riyadh. Soon he returns to the pitch to delight the fans’
