Neymar tried his best to psyche out Dominik Szoboszlai when RB Leipzig were awarded a dramatic late penalty against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday evening.
PSG were on course to seal all three points from their latest Champions League fixture, but Szoboszlai was presented with an opportunity to level the scores following some clumsy defending by Presnel Kimpembe.
Swedish referee Andreas Ekberg pointed to the spot and the responsibility to rescue a point for the hosts fell on Szoboszlai’s shoulders.
Before the 21-year-old midfielder took the penalty, though, he had Neymar to contend with.
The Brazilian superstar tried to get into his opponent’s head by asking ‘are you going to score?’.
Szoboszlai, who revealed details of his brief chat with Neymar after full-time, replied: ‘Yes’.
Neymar then said: ‘Are you sure?’
Szoboszlai replied: ‘I never miss’.
The Hungary international then proceeded to score past PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to seal his team their first Champions League point of this season’s Champions League group stages.
It was a bitter pill to swallow for PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino, whose side sit second in Group A, one point behind Manchester City.
The Argentine coach was without the injured Lionel Messi for this fixture but still had Kylian Mbappe, Angel Di Maria and the aforementioned Neymar at his disposal.
PSG found themselves 1-0 down in the eighth minute when Christopher Nkunku found the back of the net.
Georginio Wijnaldum then scored twice to put the visitors 2-1 up at half-time.
But PSG were pegged back at the death when Szoboszlai held his nerve to convert past the imposing frame of Donnarumma.
