On Neymar’s official YouTube channel, Inter Miami CF owner and former England star David Beckham asked Neymar a question that many MLS fans have been dying to know the answer to.
“When you finish playing in Europe, will you come to Miami, please?”, Beckham asked half-heartedly.
After the Brazilian took a moment to laugh, the PSG winger shot from the hip and ‘promised’ Beckham, who ended his career with PSG, that he’ll one day play in Miami.
“David, it’s done! I’ll come to Miami, your city, your team.”
Despite the comedic nature of the chat, the move wouldn’t be that farfetched.
The city of Miami is home to the third-most Brazilians in the United States (behind New York City and Boston), and the state of Florida is home to nearly half of the entire Brazilian population in America.
Many high-profile stars are already linked to David Beckham’s new club, which is set to join Major League Soccer in 2020.
Warm weather, beautiful women, nightlife, Brazilians, and Beckham? We have a feeling Neymar would feel right at home.
