Neymar is planning to retire as a Paris Saint-Germain player.

Since making a world-record €222m transfer to the Parc des Princes in 2017, the Brazil international has won 13 domestic trophies and took on a starring role in the club’s run to the 2020 Champions League final.

According to a report from The Athletic’s David Ornstein on Monday, the 31-year-old’s commitment to PSG remains unwavering and was further solidified after seeing his contract automatically extended until 2027 last summer.

Neymar has scored 118 goals in 173 games for PSG but is currently ruled out for the rest of the current campaign by an ankle injury.

Christophe Galtier’s side are on course to claim their fifth Ligue 1 title in the six seasons since Neymar’s arrival with a 10-point cushion over nearest challengers Marseille.
