Neymar is set to dominate the headlines in the months leading up to the summer transfer window. His return to Santos, where he is regaining fitness, and his recall to the Brazilian national team have once again put him in the spotlight.
There is no doubt that the 33-year-old Brazilian winger is eager to make a high-profile return to Europe in June, and the agent who facilitated his move to PSG, Pini Zahavi, is already exploring options.
Indeed, according to SPORT, Zahavi has placed Neymar’s name on the table at both Barcelona and Bayern Munich, two clubs with which he has strong ties. For now, however, the Brazilian is not considering a move to the Premier League.
While his representatives are pushing for a deal, Barcelona are not prioritising this option at the moment, as the club is focused on other key matters. However, the door is not entirely closed.
Neymar wants a club that competes for all major trophies, plays attacking football, and allows him to return in style as one of the world’s best players. And Zahavi has been tasked with finding such a team for him.

Zahavi has a strong connection with Barcelona president Joan Laporta. In the latter’s first major transfer window, the agent helped him sign Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich. More recently, he was involved in bringing Hansi Flick to the Catalan club.
However, Zahavi is well aware that Neymar’s return to Barcelona would be difficult to pull off. His decline in recent years, his exit to PSG under tense circumstances, and the legal battles that cost the club millions have left many sceptical.
Neymar’s family is willing to make a financial effort to facilitate his return to Barcelona, believing that it is the ideal environment for him. However, the final decision lies with the club.
Barcelona sporting director Deco recently stated that the club is not currently considering the move, but did not entirely rule it out.
Deco’s priority is to sign a left-sided winger, and Neymar could fit that profile. However, he prefers to recruit a player in his prime, with Liverpool’s Luis Diaz seen as the ideal target.
Zahavi believes that Barcelona’s uncertain financial situation could present an opportunity for Neymar. The Brazilian would arrive as a free agent on favourable financial terms and, crucially, would be open to signing a short-term, one-year contract.
This could serve as a temporary solution until Barcelona’s financial recovery is complete.
