Neymar named in PSG's pre-season China tour squad | OneFootball

Neymar has been named in Paris Saint-Germain’s 33-man squad for the club’s pre-season tour of China.

Thomas Tuchel’s squad will jet off on Tuesday for a trip which will see them face Inter Milan in Macau, Sydney FC in Suzhou and Rennes in Shenzhen.

Neymar has been heavily linked with a transfer away from the club this summer – with Barcelona and Real Madrid thought to be the Brazilian’s most likely destinations – but a statement released via PSG’s official website on Tuesday confirmed the Brazilian is part of the touring squad and is also recovering well from the ankle injury which kept him out of this summer’s Copa América.

“Regarding the healing of his right ankle sprain; daily physical work will continue and complete recovery and integration with the group is scheduled for training in China,” read the statement.

“The radiological checks of the fracture of the 5th metatarsal (January 2019) made upon the players’ return to Paris showed completely normal progress and a very good improvement.”
