Pogba has made no secret of his struggles at Old Trafford, hinting that the media would “get him killed” if he spoke anymore about his situation.

The 25-year-old refused to rule out a move away from United during the last international break amid ongoing rumours that he has his heart set on a switch to Barcelona.

According to Goal journalist Bruno Andrade, Neymar called Pogba in September to see whether he’s happy with life at United and if he would be open to a move to PSG.

The pair have been friends for some time and Neymar is understood to have spoken with Pogba back in 2016, in an attempt to convince him to join Barça.

Manchester United, however, paid a record fee of €105m for the midfielder in 2016 and it seems unlikely they will allow Pogba to leave despite the negativity around him.

He also has a contract at Old Trafford until June 2021 – with United holding the right to take up a one-year option at the end of the deal.

Andrade believes that Neymar will remain in contract with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi over signing the unsettled Frenchman.
