Neymar hopefully back in training in two to three weeks

Neymar broke his fifth metatarsal in his right foot in February and underwent surgery, with most of his recovery taking place in his native Brazil.

Speaking before of Friday’s Ligue 1 match away at Saint-Etienne, Emery said Neymar is expected back in Paris soon to have the injury re-evaluated.

“I spoke with Neymar and he told me that he is continuing to work,” Emery said at a pregame news conference at Camp des Loges. “He will be back with us in two or three weeks — hopefully to resume training.”

Neymar has been spectacular since arriving from Barcelona in the summer. In 30 appearances, the Brazilian has scored 28 goals and provided 16 assists in all competitions. He’s won a stunning 12 man-of-the-match awards in 20 Ligue 1.
