Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar is regularly used to fooling defenders with his on-ball dribbling prowess. He can beat defenders with his shifty on-ball movements or simply speed on by past multiple players.
Just this season, Neymar is having yet another stout campaign in regard to his dribbling success. He currently leads Ligue 1 in successful dribbles completed per game with a 5.7 figure. This number is slightly down from his 6.0 average last season, but it is still a stat to be impressed by.
Overall, the Brazilian forward is currently once again among the top dribbles in the continent this season. In league play this season, he ranks first in successful dribbles per 90 among qualified players (500 minutes played) with a 6.3 figure, according to WhoScored.
Behind the Brazilian in this stat is Wolverhampton’s Adama Traore (5.4) and Atalanta’s Josip Illicic (5.2).
Neymar is one key reason as to why PSG ranks first within Europe’s top five leagues in dribbles attempted with 22.7.
The Brazilian is simply one of the best dribbles from this era.
