As reported by L’Équipe, in speaking to former Brazil and Real Madrid striker Ronaldo Nazário on a Twitch stream hosted by well-known Brazilian streamer Gaules, PSG forward Neymar discussed his plans for the later stages of his career and his delight at Lionel Messi’s move to Paris.

“I will play as long as my head allows. Physically, I think I can last a few more years, but my head must be fine too… I haven’t set an age limit. I have a contract with PSG until I’m 34, so I’ll play until then… I wanted to return to Barça in 2020. We tried everything but didn’t succeed. Finally, the opportunity arose for [Messi] to move here. I’m very happy, he’s a friend, we get along very well, on and off the pitch. The team still needs to adjust but we’ll make history against your Real Madrid.”

Neymar also suggested he’s more likely to play in MLS than return home to Brazil when he leave Paris, citing the shorter season and that “it would give me three months vacation. That way, I could play for a few more years. (laughs).”
