Paris Saint-Germain talents Neymar and Marquinhos are among the 24 players called up by Brazilian national team manager Tite for the Selecao’s upcoming June 2022 World Cup qualifying fixtures.

Before Brazil kicks off its Copa America title defense, the Selecao will have a pair of World Cup qualifying fixtures against Ecuador and Paraguay. Brazil currently stands in first place in the CONMEBOL 2022 World Cup qualifying standings with 12 points.

Neymar will continue his hunt to becoming Brazil’s all-time leading goal-scorer. The PSG forward currently sits at 13 international goals behind Pele, who stands as the Selecao’s top goal-scorer.

On the other hand, Marquinhos will be looking to firmly establish his place as one of the team’s starting center-backs. The PSG defender is expected to earn starts in not only these two upcoming fixtures but also in the 2021 Copa America tournament as well.

For now, Neymar and Marquinhos have an aim at finishing the season with PSG on a high note.
