Bayern Munich have extended the contract of 18-year-old goalkeeping talent Christian Früchtl until 2020.
SportBild reports the teenage sensation has signed a new deal that will keep him at the Bundesliga giants for the next two years and the news has been confirmed by the player’s agent, Christian Rößner.
Früchtl has been training regularly with the first team and is widely believed to be Manuel Neuer’s successor. His contract was set to expire at the end of this season.
“The club has great faith in Christian, who undoubtedly is one of the club’s greatest talents,” stated Rößner.
“Christian’s big ambition is to be in goal for the first-team someday.”
