This is our pick for the worst ever Newcastle kit …

Number one on the list and number one on the back, it is a gnarly Newcastle goalkeeping jersey from the ’90s.

About the only good thing we can say about it is that at least it was a goalkeeper’s kit, meaning only one person on the field was forced to wear it.

There is just so much going on with this design and none of it is good.

The sharp grey and black pattern on the right? Awful. The white and blue lines that crash in from the left? Also awful.

It is very much a product of its time as loud and bad goalkeeping jerseys weren’t just a Magpies issue, with clubs and countries across the globe appearing to be competing to outdo each other with their horrible releases.

This shocker is as bad as the worst of them.
