Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin (26) has agreed to join Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Ahli and will undergo a medical with the Jeddah-based club as early as Friday, according to a report this afternoon from L’Équipe.

The 26-year-old Frenchman will therefore trade a PIF-funded club for another one. The former OGC Nice striker would be the third high-profile Premier League player to seal a move to Al-Ahli after Edouard Mendy and Roberto Firmino. Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez is also expected to join Al-Ahli.

The French publication broke the news on Wednesday that the PIF-funded Saudi Arabia club submitted a €25m bid to the Toons to acquire the services of Saint-Maximin, who was tied to the Magpies with a contract set to expire in 2025. L’Équipe added that Saint-Maximin will earn in excess of €12m per year with Al-Ahli. With NUFC, the Frenchman registered 13 goals and 21 assists in 124 games played in all competitions since 2019.
