Viktor Gyökeres is attracting interest from several top European clubs as 2025 nears, with Sporting Lisbon reportedly open to the idea of selling their star striker. However, with the number of suitors, could Paris Saint-Germain look elsewhere for a striker?
According to Foot Mercato, Luís Campos has expressed interest in Gyökeres and has already initiated talks with the striker’s representatives. However, discussions with Luis Enrique have revealed some hesitation from the coach.
This could lead the Ligue 1 side to explore other options for the No. 9 role that better align with Enrique’s vision for the team.
Recently, PSG Inside Actus reported that the capital club have set their sights on Newcastle United standout Alexander Isak in the event of a failure to sign Gyökeres. The Parisians are seriously considering making an offer for Isak during the next summer transfer window.

On Thursday, PSG Inside Actus provided an update on this file as the report claims that Isak is interested in joining PSG, but he won’t move until the summer transfer window.
Last month, CaughtOffside revealed that both Arsenal and Chelsea are keeping an eye on Isak. However, neither club is willing to match Newcastle’s £115 million price tag for the star striker.
This season, Isak has appeared in 15 matches across all competitions for the Magpies, scoring seven goals and recording three assists. The 25-year-old is under contract until 2028, so Newcastle have plenty of leverage in any negotiations.
