The club have belatedly made an announcement on Newcastle v Cambridge tickets.

Newcastle United putting an article on their website this morning, confirming that as from 10am today, season ticket holders can buy their own seats. Though this only applies if you have a seat in the lower bowl.

Then from Friday, all season ticket holders and members can buy multiple seats.

Moving on to Monday (20 December), anybody can buy tickets online, before Thursday sees full general sale, including tickets able to be bought by everybody over the phone.

Yesterday we reported how Cambridge had taken an initial allocation of 5,000 tickets. The competition rules entitle away clubs to 15% of capacity, so potentially they could bring up to 7,500 fans.

Newcastle United official announcement – Wednesday 15 December 2021:

‘Newcastle United begin their Emirates FA Cup campaign with a home tie against Cambridge United, and tickets are now on sale.

The U’s, who play in League One, travel to St. James’ Park for the third round clash on Saturday, 8th January (kick-off 3pm GMT) and advance ticket prices have been set at £10 for adults and £5 concessions for all areas.

On the day of the game, they will double to £20 for adults and £10 concessions.

Season ticket holders can secure their regular seat from 10am on Wednesday, 15th December (if available – only lower bowl areas will be made available at this stage). At 10am on Friday, 17th December, season ticket holders will be able to purchase alternative or additional seats, while tickets will also go on sale to Members.

They will be released for online general sale at 10am on Monday, 20th December, and full general sale (including telephone bookings) at 10am on Thursday, 23rd December.

All tickets are in the form of paper tickets only. Supporters who are buying or collecting tickets on the day of the game are advised to allow plenty of time, but are advised to buy ahead of the game to avoid the price increase.

Original Platinum Bond Holders (Blocks L2C, D, E and F) do not need to take any action, as their paper match ticket will be posted to them.

Supporters are reminded that book.nufc.co.uk is the only official place to purchase official general admission match tickets.

Single match ticket holders and season ticket holders are in breach of the terms and conditions in the event of re-selling or any unauthorised transfers. Any ticket that is not purchased in a valid manner may be cancelled and no refund given. Tickets obtained in any other manner are done so at the risk of the individual purchaser.

Sales are subject to ticket limitations and are available to home supporters only. They are also subject to the latest Covid-19 Plan B conditions of entry, more details of which will be announced shortly.
