A lot of water under the bridge since summer 2023, when Lee Carsley led the Under 21s success.

Anthony Gordon was named player of the tournament when England Under 21s won those Euros, now one of his teammates has the chance to do the same.

Tino Livramento named in this Lee Carsley squad for the finals.

There are 16 countries who have qualified for these Under 21s Euros Finals and England find themselves in Group B, the tournament runs from 11 June to 28 June.

The winners and runners-up from each of the four groups goes through to the knockout quarter-finals.

The England Under 21s group fixtures at this summer’s Euro finals are:

12 June 2025 – England v Czech Republic

15 June 2025 – England v Slovenia

18 June 2025 – England v Germany

Late last month, Thomas Tuchel explained to the media why the likes of Tino Livramento and others hadn’t been included in his June 2025 senior England squad.

“[Adam Wharton] Together with Livramento, Quansah, Delap who could come with us, there’s a major tournament coming up (Under 21s Euros) and I like the idea a lot that they become leaders in that group.”

Anthony Gordon followed up that 2023 Euros triumph with an outstanding league season, named Newcastle United player of the year for 2023/24.

Other young England players who helped lift that 2023 Euro Under 21s trophy, include the likes of Cole Palmer, James Trafford and Morgan Gibbs-White.
