Jamie Miley has now gone out on loan.

The second outgoing loan deal of the day, after keeper Max Thompson signed for Chesterfield.

Elder brother of Lewis, Jamie Miley has signed up for the rest of this season at Newport County.

Good luck to Jamie and all other young NUFC players who head out on loan.

‘Newcastle United midfielder Jamie Miley has joined Newport County on a season-long loan.

The 20-year-old spent part of pre-season with the first team, travelling to both Germany and Japan, and featured in friendlies against Hull City, Urawa Red Diamonds and Girona over the summer.

Miley played the full 90 minutes in the Under-21s’ recent fixtures against Sunderland and Tottenham Hotspur, picking up an assist in a 1-0 victory over the latter.

He now links up with a Newport County side that currently sit fifth in League Two after two wins and a defeat in their opening matches of the league season.
