Plenty of Newcastle United live TV matches this season chosen for UK broadcast.
However, Newcastle fans having to wait until late on to see whether the final game of the season at Burnley would be one of the three selected by Sky Sports.
So many issues still to be decided, not just the most important of all…whether Newcastle United will / won’t finish top half of the table.
The title is still to be decided on Sunday, as well as the final Champions League place, plus of course the third and final club to be relegated.
These are the ten that Sky Sports had to choose from…
Brentford v Leeds
Brighton v West Ham
Burnley v Newcastle
Chelsea v Watford
Crystal Palace v Man Utd
Leicester v Southampton
Liverpool v Wolves
Man City v Aston Villa
Norwich v Tottenham
For broadcast in the UK, Sky Sports have of course chosen Liverpool v Wolves (Sky Sports Premier League) and Man City v Aston Villa (Sky Sports Main Event / Sky Sports Ultra HD).
Whilst the final choice is to be shown on their Sky Sports Football channel and that is Leeds v Brentford.
A surprise maybe because if Burnley win then there is nothing Leeds can do…although I am guessing because Leeds are the favourites to go down, Sky Sports are keen to see their blow by blow misery, for both the team and the travelling fans.
The broadcasters totally leaving alone the race for fourth between Tottenham and Arsenal.
This is the Premier League table on Friday (20 May 2022) morning, with 1o PL matches still to play out:
So for Newcastle United to finish in the top half of the table we need the following to happen…
Firstly, Newcastle HAVE to win at Burnley on Sunday.
Secondly, we then also need the following two things to happen…
Brighton to lose at home to West Ham.
Brentford to lose or draw at home to Leeds.
So unless you are following the Premier League title race (or a stream online…), for Newcastle United fans I am guessing Leeds could be the match of choice to watch. As it will help decide whether Newcastle United finish top half and also that last relegation spot.
