Sébastien Denis of Foot Mercato reports this morning that Newcastle United are interested in signing French midfielder Nabil Fekir, although a renewal with Real Betis club also remains on the cards.
The Premier League club, recently the subject of a takeover by the Saudi Arabian state, has made initial contact for the World Cup winner, although it remains too early to say whether the transfer will go through.

Nevertheless, the 28-year-old has spoken to Betis TV – transcribed by RMC Sport – to insist that he was happy in Andalusia, and that an extension was possible, with his contract currently running until 2023.
