According to rumours Marcus Thuram could be Newcastle’s first acquisition of the January transfer window.

A deal between PIF and Gladbach for the striker is reportedly close to being “wrapped up.”

Newcastle and Gladbach have spoken about the cost of the transfer. Gladbach wants close to €12million (£10.5 million) for the forward, given that his contract is set to expire at the end of the current campaign.
