Santana has done well to earn eight senior appearances for the Brazilian outfit so far, scoring one goal in the process across various competitions. He is primarily a right-sided wide player but can also play on the left wing or act as an attacking midfielder if needed.

His current contract at Atletico Mineiro will run out at the end of 2027. Thus, the Magpies would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about winning the race for Santana’s services in the summer.

Santana is a quick and agile wide player who can make some driving runs with the ball out in the wide areas. He has got the vision to create a few promising chances for his teammates in the final third when he is playing at the top of his game.

However, the Brazilian starlet is still quite inexperienced at the highest level and would need time to get used to life in top-flight football. Still, his ceiling is quite high, so Newcastle should consider going all out to bring him on board in the summer transfer period.

At 18, the future looks quite promising for Santana as long as he continues to mature with each year. He is undeniably a star in the making and would be a great signing for the Magpies in the long run.

St. James’ Park. All in all, the Tyneside club should focus on getting a deal done for the gifted whizkid later this year.
