In a recent report, Bild mentioned that Newcastle United are keeping tabs on Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush. It has been stated that the Magpies are eyeing a move to recruit the Egyptian striker in the summer.

Marmoush’s Impressive Run Of Form In Bundesliga This Season

The talented centre-forward has managed to prove his worth as a prolific presence in front of the opponent’s goal with his performances for Frankfurt this season. Marmoush has banged in 15 goals and picked up five assists in 30 appearances for the German outfit during this campaign in various competitions.

The 25-year-old has led the line well and deserves credit for averaging 2.3 shots, 1.4 key passes and 1.2 dribbles per game in Bundesliga. However, he has sometimes lacked quality when linking up play with others around him in the final third based on his pass completion rate of 71.5% in the German first division (stats via whoscored).

His current contract at the German club will run out in the summer of 2027 which could make it difficult for Newcastle to snap him up on a cut-price deal at the end of this season.

Is Marmoush A Good Choice For Newcastle United Boss Eddie Howe?

Marmoush is a decent dribbler with the ball and can make a few driving runs with the ball on the offensive end of the field. He has proven his worth as a capable finisher in front of the opposition goal and can also create the odd chance for his teammates up top.

However, the Egypt international has to find a way to improve his passing accuracy in the opponent’s half. He is primarily a centre-forward but can also fill in as a wide player on either flank if asked to do so.

We can expect Marmoush to bring more firepower to Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe’s attack. He is good enough to serve as an ideal replacement for Callum Wilson who has struggled to earn regular first-team starts at St. James’ Park this season.

the Tyneside club as well. Thus, Marmoush would be an excellent choice for the Magpies to pursue in the summer transfer period.
