In a recent report on Patreon, journalist Alan Nixon mentioned that Newcastle United are close to recruiting Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo this summer. It has been claimed that the Magpies are set to secure the services of the English centre-half in the upcoming transfer window.

Adarabioyo has put in a string of solid performances at the heart of the Fulham backline during this Premier League campaign. The 26-year-old has netted two goals in 25 appearances for the Cottagers this season in all competitions.

The Manchester-born sensation has been a decent performer on the defensive end of the field as he is averaging 1.1 tackles, 1.3 interceptions and 4.0 clearances per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He has even been tidy when distributing possession from the back based on his pass success rate of 84.7% in the top tier of English football (stats via whoscored).

His current deal at the London club will expire at the end of this campaign which could open the door for the Magpies to sign him on a free transfer later this summer.

Is Adarabioyo A Decent Choice For Newcastle United Boss Eddie Howe?

Adarabioyo loves a tackle and can time his challenges to earn possession back for his team on the defensive third of the pitch. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when the opposition are on the front foot.

The English sensation excels at playing his way out from the back and can use his robust 1.96m frame to dominate the opposition attackers in the air. He has got enough Premier League experience under his belt and won’t take much time to settle into life at Newcastle United.

We can expect Adarabioyo to enhance the quality of Eddie Howe’s first team and could help the Magpies compete across all fronts in the coming years. At 26, he has his best years ahead of him which makes him a great choice for the Tyneside club to consider in the upcoming transfer period.

Adarabioyo might even help Newcastle compete for a major trophy or two in the future if Howe can find a way to acquire his services on a free transfer when the transfer window reopens later this year.
