Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly vying for the signature of Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White this summer.

The 24-year-old midfielder, who previously featured for Sheffield United during a loan spell, has garnered attention from the Premier League duo, according to recent reports from Football Insider.

After his impactful performances during a loan spell with Sheffield United back in the 2021/22 campaign, the talented playmaker attracted plenty of attention from Premier League clubs.

With 12 goals and ten assists in 37 appearances for the Blades, Gibbs-White earned a big money move to Nottingham Forest from Wolves in August 2022, and since his £25 million transfer (rising to £42.5m), he has been a pivotal figure at the City Ground.

In 75 appearances, he has scored 11 goals as well as adding 15 assists to his name, as per Transfermarkt. And having played a significant role in Forest’s first two seasons back in the Premier League, the former England youth international could yet have earned another huge move this summer.

In an ideal world Forest would want to keep hold of Gibbs-White for as long as possible, but they are in a precarious financial situation, having already faced a points deduction, and may be forced into selling a prized asset such as the former Sheffield United player this summer.
