The sports firm, whose kits are readily available via Sports Direct stores, already has Glasgow Rangers on its list of clients and tennis star Andy Murray.

Talk of a £5million a year deal has emerged via Sportcal.com who are claiming the group will follow Puma after a decade of sponsorship. The website claims it is a "multi-year" deal with the the brand, who claim they provide "luxury sportswear".

Newcastle signed a one-year extension with Puma in the summer to extend their relationship with the German giant and they rolled out three kits in the early part of the summer.

Newcastle have yet to comment on the deal while Castore are also yet to respond to checks from the media.
