Newcastle’s squad will be missing a key component for their upcoming clash against Fulham on Saturday.
According to a report from The Telegraph, Alexander Isak’s lower leg injury will keep him out for several weeks.
The 23-year-old former Real Sociedad striker was with Sweden during the international break but returned to Newcastle over the weekend for treatment.
Additionally, the report claims that while the issue is not serious, sources say the problem could take a long time to solve.
The news comes as a significant blow for Eddie Howe and company with the club’s record signing registering two goals in his three appearances so far, but the blow is softened by the news that Callum Wilson is back in training and could be ready to start at the weekend.
