Newcastle United have re-entered the race to sign Christopher Nkunku (27) from Chelsea, according to Marc Mechenoua. he French international is attracting interest from several clubs this summer, with Bayern Munich and Inter Milan also exploring moves for the forward.Nkunku has been made available by Enzo Maresca, with Chelsea eager to offload the former RB Leipzig attacker before the end of the transfer window. The Blues have ruled out any loan exit, however, and will only entertain permanent offers for a player whose contract at Stamford Bridge runs until 2029 according to Florian Plettenburg.

Bayern have already seen an initial loan approach rejected but remain in direct talks with Chelsea over a possible transfer. Inter, meanwhile, are closely monitoring developments. Both the Nerazzurri and Newcastle’s project are said to appeal to the Frenchman, who is open to leaving West London this summer after struggling for playing time.
