Newcastle United attacker Josh Scott is looking forward to tonight's EFL Trophy clash with Barnsley.

The young Magpies kicked off their trophy trail with a point against Doncaster Rovers following a goalless draw at the Eco-Power Stadium last month.

He told the club's website: "All of the squad are buzzing to play against Barnsley.

"They are a League One team and all of the lads love playing in those kind of matches against first-team opposition.

"Our last game, against Doncaster, will give us a big boost. We were disappointed with how it ended and we are determined to avoid that in the next game so we can get a strong result.

"You can see in the games we've recently played that we are starting to find our rhythm and hopefully we keep it going and get the next win in our next game."
