Atlético Madrid left-back Renan Lodi is emerging as an option for Newcastle United.
The Magpies are pondering on their next moves to revamp manager Eddie Howe's squad, after they finished last season on a high note.

According to ChronicleLive, 24-year-old Lodi is available this summer, as he is not always first choice at Atlético under Diego Simeone this past season.
The source does indicate there is a link between the future of Matt Targett and any Lodi pursuit.
If Newcastle sign Targett permanently, after he spent this season on loan from Aston Villa, they are unlikely to pursue Lodi.
However, Lodi is seen as the ideal alternative to Targett, if they cannot seal a deal with Villa.
