Sangare, 20, was on the scoresheet in just his third appearance for the hosts.

His smartly converted penalty put Liberia ahead with just eight minutes remaining.

They will now take a two-goal lead to Sierra Leone.

Sangare, who is yet to feature for the Newcastle first team, has started four games for the clubā€™s U23 side this season.

Liberia have entered the qualifying rounds for every World Cup since 1982 but have never made it to a World Cup finals.
