Newcastle injury news: Magpies could have four key players back for Tottenham clash
Journalist Liam Kennedy has revealed that Newcastle could have up to four players back available by the time they host Tottenham next month.
Goalkeeper Martin Dubravka hasn't been involved in any competitive game since featuring at the Euro's with Slovakia but could be back in action, whilst Callum Wilson, who remains the club's joint top goalscorer despite playing just four times in the Premier League, may also be available.
Dubravka's return could be a timely one for Steve Bruce, whose number one this season has been youngster Freddie Woodman, who finally got his long-awaited chance, but has also joined the treatment table after missing the games with Leeds and Watford with a hip problem sustained in training.
Kennedy also confirmed that two other key players in Jamaal Lascelles, who missed the draw at Watford and Jonjo Shelvey, who's not played since the opening day, could both be back in contention by the time Spurs visit St James' Park on 17 October.
What did Kennedy say?

He told GIVEMESPORT: "That Tottenham game, you could potentially have Dubravka and Wilson back by then, I would imagine potentially Lascelles as well and Jonjo Shelvey is another that might be in and around the mix by then, so Newcastle United's squad might be a whole lot better after the international break."
How big of a boost is this for Bruce?
It's been a wretched start to the campaign for everyone associated with the club, but this is an absolutely massive boost for Bruce to not only have arguably four starters back at his disposal, but four players that are essentially the spine of his team, with one in each position centrally.

But whilst having those four back will only improve their chances of getting their first victory of the season and then climbing away from the relegation-zone, Bruce needs his entire squad to start pulling in the right direction, otherwise it's going to be another long old season for Newcastle.
