Arsenal could turn to a familiar name to replace Petr Čech when he retires at the end of the season.

According to Chronicle Live, FIFA U-20 World Cup-winning goalkeeper Freddie Woodman, currently with Newcastle, could join his father at the Emirates.

Andy Woodman is the Arsenal’s Head of Academy Goalkeeping and the goalkeeper coach for the Arsenal U-23s.

Despite loan spells at Hartlepool, Crawley, Kilmarnock, and Aberdeen, Woodman was not allowed to go on loan this season due to a contract dispute.

Everton, Celtic, and Fulham are all reportedly circling for Woodman, whose contract expires next summer.

The 22-year-old also won the 2014 U-17 European Championship with England and started all three of Newcastle’s FA Cup matches this season.
