What is the latest news involving Hudson-Odoi and Gallagher?

As per The Telegraph, Newcastle have asked to be kept informed about Hudson-Odoi and Gallagher as Eddie Howe looks to bring in more reinforcements before the transfer window closes.

The same outlet has claimed that Christian Pulisic and Armando Broja are also on the Magpies’ radar, so it looks like the next arrival at St James’ Park could come from west London.

Out of those names mentioned, Hudson-Odoi definitely appears to be available.

The Evening Standard recently reported that Chelsea are ready to let the 21-year-old winger leave the club on loan – but only on loan.

What has Crook said about Hudson-Odoi, Gallagher and Newcastle?

Crook says Newcastle are indeed monitoring both Hudson-Odoi and Gallagher.

When asked if they are waiting to see what happens with Hudson-Odoi, Gallagher, Pulisic and Broja, the talkSPORT reporter told GIVEMESPORT: “Yeah, definitely in the case of Hudson-Odoi and Gallagher. I’m not convinced that Broja is necessarily high on their wanted list. He wasn’t anyway, but things can change in the window.”

Who are Newcastle more likely to sign, Hudson-Odoi or Gallagher?

You would probably have to say Hudson-Odoi. As already mentioned, Chelsea appear to be open to loaning him out this summer. It has also been reported that the player himself has asked to leave Stamford Bridge.

When it comes to Gallagher, however, they may be much more reluctant. Thomas Tuchel is set to be without N’Golo Kante for a month after he picked up an injury last time out against Tottenham, while Mateo Kovacic was already sidelined going into that game.

The above could change if the Blues are able to bring in a new senior midfielder like Frenkie de Jong.

Do you know this obscure Newcastle United footballer from the 1990s?

John Burridge Roy Aitkin Bjorn Kristensen Mark Stimson

Sky Sports reported last week that there is interest in the Barcelona star, but if they fail to sign him or someone else who can play in the engine room, it is hard to imagine them letting Gallagher go.

With all of that in mind, then, Hudson-Odoi looks like the much easier deal to do, though even that could still prove tricky given that the England international is said to have plenty of other suitors.
