Newcastle United are confident they can sign Brazilian wonderkid Andrey Santos.

The 18-year-old is being targeted by Newcastle and Barcelona.

According to iNews, Newcastle believe their strong connections in South America will help them land Santos.

Toon chief scout Steve Nickson is said to be "firmly embedded" in South America.

Santos' club, Vasco da Gama, would demand at least £30m for the box-to-box midfielder.

The Magpies already have Brazilian duo Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes in their squad.
