Randal Kolo Muani is far from guaranteed to extend his stay at Serie A giants Juventus beyond this summer as his and the club’s situations become more complicated.
The 26-year-old striker arrived from PSG on a dry loan in January and immediately hit form for the Bianconeri, netting five goals in his first three Serie A games. However he has failed to score at all in the past month, which has led the Juventus top brass to wonder whether it’s worth going back into negotiations with PSG for a permanent move this summer.
Sporting Director Cristiano Giuntoli is prioritizing a new attacker for the transfer window but is not sure if Kolo Muani is the right man. As per Calciomercato, a lot could change between now and the opening of the window in June, especially considering head coach Thiago Motta is under increasing pressure and may not even see out the season on Juve’s bench. Champions League qualification is also far from certain for the Turin club and may sway the striker towards the exit door and pastures new should they miss out on a top four spot.
Another complication arises from the fact PSG are looking to rid themselves of the Frenchman for the biggest fee possible and as soon as possible. Calciomercato reports his good form in the first few games for Juventus has piqued the interest of a number of suitors from the Premier League who likely have deeper pockets than the Bianconeri.
Newcastle stand out as the most likely club to challenge for Kolo Muani’s signature this year as star striker Alexander Isak could be set to leave the Magpies at the end of the season, leading his club to look for an affordable alternative, likely in the shape of Kolo Muani.
