Newcastle have reportedly agreed on a loan extension with Inter which ensures that Valentino Lazaro can play until the end of the Premier League season.
Lazaro has made five appearances since joining the club in January, but his original terms involved him leaving St James’ Park on June 30.
According to Chronicle Live, Newcastle and Inter met this week to discuss a new deal with all parties keen to continue the current arrangement.
Newcastle are undecided over whether to sign Lazaro permanently but believe he can be useful in their final nine fixtures.
The 24-year-old is thought to be ‘open-minded’ about his next move and wants to at least show what he is capable of.
It’s expected that Danny Rose – signed from Tottenham in January – will also extend his stay in the north east.
