The New York Red Bulls have signed defender Curtis Ofori to a long-term homegrown contract, the club announced Thursday.

Ofori's new deal keeps him at Red Bull Arena through the 2025 MLS season, with a further option on 2026. The 17-year-old is RBNY's 28th homegrown signing in club history after previously spending two seasons with USL affiliate New York Red Bulls II.

“We are very excited to promote Curtis to the first team,” RBNY sporting director Denis Hamlett said in a club press release. “Curtis is a great young talent, and we have seen many great things at Red Bulls II. And we can’t wait to see his continued development over the next few years.”

Head coach Gerhard Struber added: “Curtis is a promising young defender that we are excited to see continue to develop in pre-season and the future.

After becoming the youngest signing in Red Bulls II history (15 years, 122 days), Ofori went on to make 41 appearances in the USL Championship, with the left-back playing a key defensive role.

Ofori came off the bench for the first team in their friendly against Spanish giants FC Barcelona in July while at international level, he received a call-up to a United States U19 training camp back in April.
