There is no interest in bringing Thierry Henry in as New York Red Bulls coach, the club have claimed.
The MLS club have had a difficult start to the 2019 campaign, leading to speculation their former player would return.
However, the club’s sporting director Denis Hamlett has insisted there is no basis to the speculation.
“Recent reports of Thierry Henry joining the New York Red Bulls are completely false,” he said in a statement.
Chris Armas is currently in charge at the Red Bull Arena.
Henry’s only previous stint in the dugout was a disaster, as he lasted just three months and 20 games in charge at Monaco.
