New York City FC are among the clubs in the race to sign striker David Toshevski, Hayters.com understands.

Bolton Wanderers have previously expressed an interest in signing the North Macedonia international, as reported by Hayters.com.

But the 24-year-old now looks more likely to move elsewhere, with Bolton having completed the signing of striker Mason Burstow on loan from Hull City.

A host of other English and Scottish sides, as well as clubs across the world, are also keen on signing Toshevski, who is a free agent after leaving Austrian side Austria Klagenfurt following their relegation last season.

He scored ten goals in 26 games for the club across the last campaign, and has had spells in Russia, Slovakia, Croatia and Poland too. He also made his international debut earlier this year against Liechtenstein.

New York City forward Monsef Bakrar is closing in on leaving the club to join Dinamo Zagreb, which could open up the possibility of Toshevski joining the MLS side as his replacement, however they face plenty of competition for his signature.
