Few AC Milan players impressed in the defeat against Torino last night, as highlighted by the newspapers this morning. It’s often the case after a defeat, of course, but it was especially evident this time out.
Tijjani Reijnders scored the only goal for Milan, while Mike Maignan was responsible for yet another howler. As a result, the Dutchman got good ratings overall while the goalkeeper was criticised, even if he made a big save later on in the game.
Gazzetta dello Sport named Riccardo Sottil as the best at 6.5/10 – same as in our ratings – since he entered with energy and sent in the cross that led to Reijnders’ goal. Corriere dello Sport, meanwhile, gave him a 6/10 and named Reijnders as the best Milan player at 7/10.
As for the worst player, the pink newspaper went for Rafael Leao who was subbed off at half-time, giving him a 4.5/10. Corriere dello Sport opted for Mike Maignan instead at the same rating, given the big mistake he made at the start.
