A headline member of the summer recruitment drive at La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid will be forced to face off with familiar opposition in the club’s next outing.

The player in question? Dean Huijsen.

Real Madrid are of course fresh off booking their spot in the knockout rounds of the Club World Cup in the early hours of Friday.

After locking horns with RB Salzburg in their final group stage outing, Los Blancos ultimately emerged on the right side of a 3-0 result.

The aforementioned Dean Huijsen for his part featured from the off in the clash, and for the third game in succession, thoroughly impressed.

Next time out, though, the young Spaniard will be forced to put emotions to one side, in hopes of guiding Real Madrid into the quarter-finals of the Club World Cup.

This comes with Xabi Alonso’s troops having been drawn against Juventus in the competition’s next round.

Huijsen for his part spent spent three years developing on the books of Juve, before departing for Bournemouth in the summer of 2024.

The 20-year-old, in turn, will lock horns with a number of familiar faces at Hard Rock Stadium next Wednesday.
