Leicester City's assistant manager comes highly recommended. Previously he was at Manchester United with then-interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy. The person in question joined his fellow countryman at King Power Stadium a few weeks ago. But now we are learning further information about this potentially crucial first team coach.
And, most importantly, the 43-year-old is tipped to be able to enhance certain players on van Nistelrooy's roster. Something very necessary. In addition to that, there is one specific Foxes star whom Jelle ten Rouwelaar will most likely improve. So, what is there to know about this expert? We will also reveal which Leicester footballer is set to receive special treatment.
Meanwhile an ex-Fox has been given a fresh opportunity in football. This one-time City defender actually secured himself a top Championship job. The retired professional, who subsequently went into management, formerly played for Everton along with the east Midlands outfit. Who is this 50-year-old gaffer on the rise? Where is his next footballing destination? And could he return to manage the King Power side one day? Let's see.
Rowett played almost 50 times for Leicester; he was at eight clubs in his career. A journeyman of sorts, he's been in charge of different clubs for 12 years.
The Worcestershire-born man began his managerial career at Burton Albion. City would always monitor decent bosses, especially an LCFC alum. But he'll be in this role shortly:
"John Percy, the Midlands football reporter for the Telegraph, reported on Tuesday that Rowett was in 'pole position' to take over at the Kassam Stadium."
Hopefully ten Rouwelaar isn't another ten Hag. I'm sure the latter has a fine sporting mind, really. But he wasn't suited to Manchester United or the Premier League, as Foxes of Leicester view it.
Another influential Dutchman joined City as assistant manager lately. And big things are expected from ten Rouwelaar, who was once on the Ajax staff as well:
View publisher imprint"Joining as van Nistelrooy’s assistant manager and as a goalkeeping coach, ten Rouwelaar comes with a big reputation. His innovative coaching methods have been hugely successful in the Netherlands, and last year all three goalkeepers in the Dutch national squad had been, at some point, under his wing, including Brighton’s Bart Verbruggen. Van Nistelrooy is certain ten Rouwelaar will make Hermansen better too."Jordan Blackwell
