Italy striker Moise Kean has left the Azzurri training camp due to a muscle problem and will be unavailable for the matches against Norway and Moldova.
A new injury hit the Italy national team before their first World Cup qualifying match against Norway.
Fiorentina striker Kean has sustained a muscle issue that will make him unavailable for the upcoming matches against Norway and Moldova.

“Kean has left the training camp. The striker is unavailable for our upcoming games due to a muscle problem he picked up in yesterday’s session. He has returned to his club for treatment,” the Azzurri said on X, formerly Twitter.
It’s been a troubled international break for Azzurri coach Spalletti, who had to make several changes to the original squad named last week.

Luca Ranieri replaced Alessandro Buongiorno, Daniele Rugani came in on Wednesday for the injured Matteo Gabbia, while Manuel Locatelli hasn’t been replaced after an ankle injury, and Francesco Acerbi refused to play for the Azzurri, not feeling part of the coach’s project.
Italy will make their 2026 World Cup qualifying debut on June 6 in Oslo against Norway, who have already collected six points in the opening two games.
The second match for the Azzurri is scheduled for June 9 against Moldova in Reggio Emilia.
Kean was the second-best Serie A scorer in the 2024-25 season, behind Mateo Retegui, and scored a brace in Italy’s most recent game against Germany in March, contributing to a 3-3 draw.
